Sustainable Scarborough: A Walk Through the Green Trail

Join Scarborough Public Library’s retired director Nancy Crowell (from 1977 through 2023!) for a walk through Scarborough’s Municipal Campus and Memorial Park. The walk is about 2 miles, and Nancy will share the ecofriendly highlights of the area, how Scarborough is working to become a more sustainable and ecofriendly community, and she can possibly be persuaded to talk about library history too if the questions keep coming.

The path is paved, with a slight incline. There are spots to rest along the way–benches for the Green Trail were recently purchased through an AARP Challenge Grant in 2023. This path is part of a regular Scarborough Public Library Walking Groups. Anyone can join for any of our walks for a casual stroll and conversation.
