Small City, Big Arts Scene: Exploring the Wealth of Arts & Culture in Downtown Gardiner

We will begin our tour at the oldest remaining site of arts & culture in Gardiner, Johnson Hall Opera House, for an insider’s peak into the newly renovated and historic theater. From here we will mosey along Water Street, visiting a number of art galleries, retail spaces that feature local art, talking with artists and learning about the many different forms that art in Gardiner takes place. We will end with a visit to Circling the Square Fine Art Press and Art Dogs, the birthplace of Gardiner’s Art Walk program, celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2025.

The tour will be roughly an hour and 15 minutes, covering mostly even ground and less than a mile in distance.
