Saving Handley Hall

© 2025 University of Maine at Augusta

Come see what the fuss is all about & help us raise awareness to save Handley Hall! This walk will explore the longstanding Handley Hall, its historical impact & will illustrate why Handley Hall is still incredibly relevant to Water Street, downtown Augusta & pivotally instrumental to the education, culture & experience of the students attending the Art & Architecture programs at UMA. The tour will take place in Handley Hall herself; exploring each floor, while receiving a pertinent narrative of each space from our guide. Let us show you why Handley Hall deserves to be saved & why she should continue to house the Art & Architecture Programs of UMA.

Starting Location:

This Jane’s Walk will meet right outside of Handley Hall. Handley Hall is located just down the street of the Key Bank building, before Hartford Fire Station.

Ending Location:

Our walk will end right where we started at Handley Hall
