Abijah Hill and Its Rich History

Abijah Hill is known to some as the place where they used to downhill ski! It is known to other as the place of Harry Brown’s Farm, and to people like me, the home of Martin Woods Farm where I live and work with my husband and son. We will walk up the hill and view the ski mountain and then walk our Farm trails that have historic rock walls and learn about the history of the geography during the Civil War.

Accessibility:

Trail path is not wheelchair accessible, though the first part of the walk up Abijah Hill is. There are no steps.

Starting Location:

We will meet in the driveway of the first and only house on Abijah Hill Road (#24), on the left. The address is easy to find on Route 43 between Madison and Farmington in Starks. Road signage tells you that your are at the Farm.

Ending Location:

Martin Woods Farm, Starks
24 Abijah Hill Road
Starks, Maine 04911
