A Walk Through Time in Historic Gorham

Join us for a guided walk along Gorham’s historic South Street district. We’ll start at the Baxter House Museum (c 1797), stop at the PineCrest Inn (c 1753), hear stories at the local cemetery, and learn about houses and histories all along the way. Come early and enjoy Gorham’s Farmers Market, the library’s book sale, a variety of local lunch options, and all that the lovely town of Gorham has to offer!

Accessibility:

The tour route is mostly on sidewalks along South Street, but some locations might not fully accessible to certain mobility constraints, such as the cemetery and PineCrest Inn. Free parking is available in the Gorham Municipal Center lot behind the Baxter Museum.

Starting Location:

Meet on the front lawn of the Baxter Museum at 1:00- look for someone holding a Jane's Walk flag. We suggest arriving early to enjoy Gorham's Farmers Market and the library's book sale right behind the museum!

Ending Location:

The tour will end where it begins, at the lawn of the Baxter Museum.
